Welcome to another worship review here at the church collective! Remember that we’re looking at these songs from the perspective of a week to week worship leader and offering our recommendations. We’d love to hear what songs you’re doing from Worship Central’s latest album in the comments below.
The Way // This song is the first song on the album and it’s a great song to kick things off. It’s all about Jesus being the way. It’s a really “dancy” song that would be great for a youth service or a really upbeat, young congregation. The synth lead really set the whole tone of this one.
Stand Up // This song has a great intro for drums and lead guitar with pad backing that come back in the pre-chorus. It encourages us to stand in the mighty power of God and I highly recommend this one if you’re looking for something that is theologically rich.
Can’t Stop Your Love // Just listening through this the first time I felt like I already knew it. It’s really catchy and doable for just about any worship team no matter what the situation. The theme is all about the love of God and how there is nothing that can separate us from Him.
Set Apart // This one has a really great anthem-like feel to it without being to driving. This song is pretty doable for any church with a larger worship team. It’s a great reminder for your congregation that they are God’s chosen people set apart to serve him.
Pursue Me // This song is very piano driven and will give your congregation a good chance to be reflective. It would be a great song to strip down and make more acoustic. The melodic structure is easy for any congregation to pick up on. The lyrics sing of God’s pursuit of us regardless of where we are in life. Don’t forget that there are people in your congregation that are in desperate need of Christ, they need to know that there is nothing they can do to have God not chase them.
Awesome Is He // Here’s a chance for one of your altos to really shine! On top of that, your congregation will have an easy time singing along with this one. It’s nice to have a song that’s vocally accessible.
Worth It All // This one starts with an intricate guitar part so make sure your guitar player is up to the challenge. It would be a great song for a praise and worship night/service. The lyrical content adds a lot of theology to a set.
All That I Am (Spontaneous) // You really get a sense of the heart of worship of the night they recorded from this track. It’s simple and easy to grab onto.
Enough Light // This one starts off with a fun drum beat that really sets the tone. I’d recommend you grab the backing track for this one though. You’d have a hard time driving this song without all the extra sounds.
Let Go // This one is perfect for a youth service or a church that likes more upbeat music. There’s a great two part guitar solo that your team will have a lot of fun with. I’d say that you need to grab the backing tracks for this one as well though.
Your Cross Is Enough // This is all about the Gospel; how Jesus came to save us on the cross and, it being enough to save us. This one will work for almost any congregation.
Dead Things To Life // Just listening to this song brings the heart to a place of worship because it reminds the listener of the depravity of man and the great work that Christ did to bring our dead hearts back to life.
Singing Over Us // This is one of the few songs on the album that feature a female lead on vocals. It’s perfect for a female lead and is in a great key for congregational singing. This song also has a great back track that really drives the song.
Wide Open Space (Spontaneous) // This one is great for just mediating on the Word of God. It is a very simple musically and vocally. You really get a sense of the heart of prayer coming from the team for the night.
