Before we get started, remember that we review these albums from the point of view of a worship leader. I’ll unpack the songs musically, theologically, and thematically to help you as you’re planning your worship sets!
Awake // The opening track serves as a great start for the album. In the same way you could easily use this as an opener for your services. The chorus is a simple plea for God to move and awake in our lives. There are some really tasty bass runs throughout the song, I’d highly recommend pointing your bass player to this song if only to glean some great sensibilities.
In Mercy // Picking up the energy of Awake, In Mercy moves to a more personal declaration that we need God and we have access to Him through his mercy. The bridge is easy to catch on and sings for God to be lifted high. The drumbeat for this song is a really common pattern so it could work as great practice for your drummer as well!
Your Glory is My Fire // This song serves as a great invitation for the Holy Spirit to move in our midst. You could open your service with this song as well if you wanted to start with something a bit more intimate than the previous two songs. It falls out to an acoustic driven chorus that gives the crowd great opportunity to sing.
I Stand Amazed // Psalm 105:5 tells us to remember the great things God has done and this song declares so many great reasons to stand amazed at the power of our Savior. I’m a big fan of introducing songs that sing solid theology. The melody of the chorus is really catchy so it’s a great chance to help people remember God’s works. The bridge becomes a personal declaration to God singing simply “You are amazing.”
No Other Love // I really dig the chorus, which sings: “No other love could save the years I’ve wasted. No other love could bear the weight of all my shame. No other love could take this life and raise it. “ So many people come to church carrying a heavy burden and this song can help them realize that the love of God is bigger than whatever they’re carrying.
King of Glory // The chorus sings about raising the name of God and then cries out for the King of Glory to come. Jeremy hits some high notes, which sound awesome, but, if you’re in a smaller setting, you may want to sing in a lower key. Don’t be afraid to change up the key or arrangement to suit your congregation. We had a great discussion about that very issue on a recent podcast episode.
Wonder of the Cross // This one may be too high for your congregation. Again, don’t be afraid to mix up the key and arrangement to suit your church. There are some great bass lines that will challenge your bass player so be sure to point them to this song if they’re looking to broaden their abilities.
My Victory // the chorus sings of the victory of the cross in our lives. This could be a great song to do before a time of communion if you’re looking to do something more declarative rather than completive.
Fix Our Eyes // Another solid driving song that points to Jesus above the difficulties of life. Look to this song as a close for your service to really send people out on a great note.
Holding on to Me // Piano driven, I get a Michael W. Smith vibe from this song and I dig it! The bridge sings about the blood of Jesus and of His payment for our sin.
All to Jesus + I Surrender All // This is a great new song that works in the hymn “I Surrender All.” Look to this song to bring this hymn to your congregation.
Ben
What a great album (and review!) I met Jeremy once or twice in Memphis and have to say, this guy’s heart is real. His music is top notch but I love how his heart for worship is translated throughout so clearly!

Thanks for the kind review Ryan. I’d love to meet you too someday bro. Also thanks Ben and Clarissa for your comments. Honored to even be mentioned in anyway on this site and by the fine folks who run it. Praying the Lord uses “No Other Love” to bless folks in His Church. Love you all.
