On September 30, 2014 Desperation Band releases their latest album, Banner.

The album carries on in the tradition of past Desperation releases, passion filled worship with strong lyrical content. Jon Egan leads the charge on the album, with spirited vocals. Other worship leaders on the album include Kari Jobe, Jonathan Moos, Nico Perez, Bri Giles, and Gina Milne.

While Desperation Band is often considered New Life’s “youth” band, this album is full of songs that will fit nicely in everything from Pre/Post service mixes, youth events, and Sunday morning worship.

There are several stand out tracks on the album. A few of my favorites were Future, On The Throne, Closer To You, and Fall Into You. All in all the full album is worth a listen and solid from the opening track the closing song Fun. The nice thing with Desperation Band is that they are not trying to reinvent the wheel; they continue to produce thoughtful worship for the church that teaches and glorifies the name of God.

I highly recommend picking up this album and giving it a listen. I believe each of our ministries will be touched by at least one of the songs presented here. Thank you to Jon Egan and Co. for continuing to bless the church body with their heartfelt worship.

Here is the official release video for the album:
