Everyone knows the feeling of having something stolen from you – you feel violated, lost, confused. For musicians, it’s even worse, as we become sentimentally attached to our instruments – there’s a real personal connection.
Recently while on tour, John Mark McMillan’s band had their gear stolen from their trailer. From John Mark:
A few weeks ago my band was robbed on their way to meet me in Denver, CO to kick off the West Coast tour. The guys stopped at a sandwich shop in a nice suburb outside of St Louis, MO. They locked the van and parked it safely right out front of the building in broad daylight. When they returned 20 minutes later, they found that the lock had been jacked and all of their bags, including $15,000 worth of personal gear, had been lifted. This was a devastating blow for each of the guys who use these items to provide for their families. We’ve been in talks with insurance companies and they will cover little to none of what was stolen.
Starting today, you can download a free never-before-heard live version of Borderland. As you download this special track, please consider leaving a generous “tip” for my band guys. All proceeds go to them to recover their stolen property.
I invite you to help us take a disheartening situation and turn it into something beautiful. It means the world to us to have you rally around! We couldn’t do what we do without these guys!
Will you join us in supporting our brothers as they raise money to replace their gear? Download an exclusive live track and leave them a tip.
