The theme for this song is a cry for revival, and wanting more of God.

I was a worship pastor at a church, and at the time, the church was doing a series on revival. We were seeing God move in amazing ways, and I was praying about the revival and spending some time in personal worship when I started singing this song. It was a cry from my heart for God to pour into me like a flood, raining down His presence.

Using this song in Church

I have had deep times of worship using this song in both corporate worship settings and in worship concerts, and many people have told me that the song really touched or spoke to them.  There is even a little boy with a sensory disorder that loves the song, and says that it helps to calm him.
