I’m hanging out today exhausted from a weekend of incredible ministry and worship. On Saturday, we had the chance to play music at the UN Plaza in San Francisco along with Stop Motion Poetry to begin gaining awareness for our first ever campaign. You can check it out here. We met some colorful characters for sure but had the chance to do ministry and God moved in the lives of some people. We talk about it on this week’s podcast. Sunburned and tired, some of us came in early Sunday to lead our Traditions service and then after that we led Elevate. It was yet another awesome time of worship, I really can’t believe how much God is moving in and through the people involved in this powerful venue.
Four weeks ago, our team began praying in earnest for the Lord to move in powerful ways through our various ministries and services. I made the comment to be on guard because the enemy starts to show up when we begin to step out. In the midst of this fruitful weekend, many of our team members faced very difficult situations in their personal and professional lives. This verse rang through my head the entire weekend:
2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds,3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
James 1:2-4
James got it. If we’re under any sort of trial, it’s a good thing! Count it as a badge of honor to be able to suffer for Christ. Read Acts 5, the apostles went out of town rejoicing in the flogging they just received They knew that their trouble was working out for the glory of God and to mature their faith. If you’re facing something today, know that God is going to use it for good!
