Early next year, The Church Collective is going to be hosting conferences in Peru. It’s been so cool to connect with so many leaders all over the world and one such leader is Albert from the church Mas Vida. He is helping coordinate our conferences and we want you to get to know him and his ministry!
Tell us about your home church.
The name of my church is Mas Vida ( more life) my dad is the pastor he’s name is Edwin vasquez, it’s a church of Faith. We are from Lima but we are living in Trujillo it’s in the coast north of Peru my dad founded this church and 2 more in Lima and Huaraz ( city in mountain) so he is here in Trujillo with my mom.
What does your worship ministry look like?
Our worship team is conformed by my brothers and I and a friend so we are 4 in the band
Jean pier Vasquez – drums
Caleb vasquez – bass
Scoot – guitar and keyboard
Me – voice and guitar
We are playing together like 5 years but since last year we decided to help to the local smalls church the most of those don’t have the resources to invite a band or pay for the equipment to do a outreach evangelism. We have always seen coming missionaries giving their time paying their tickets and giving offerings and we start to think why we can’t do the same? If God have been blessing our business why we can’t bless to others so since the last year we started traveling to different cities playing and preaching with our own resources.
What has God done through your ministry lately?
During the last year we were playing in different cities and we have seen the need of presence of God and love. We believe in miracles and we have seen them even with me I had appendicitis and one day I couldn’t walk for the pain so I take my guitar and started to worship giving thanks for my health 2 hours later I went to the doctor and they did an ultrasound and they told me that something was covering my appendix making it better.
And to many things miracles if I started to tell maybe I don’t end hahaha but God is good
What do you teach those you work with?
we are not a professional musician but the little things that we know we try to teach like:
- The instruments ( drums, bass, guitar )
- sound
- the heart of a worshipper
- how to work with the things they have at their church.
How can we pray for you?
We need praying for
- Our families (we are married, I have 2 daughters my bro jean pier has 2 sons and caleb is married too but he doesn’t have kids yet)
- For direction of God to know what’s next for our ministries.
- We need help to keep helping to training more people.
